First thing in the morning, I drove to Menlo Park to track and photograph SamTrans 915, the 2024 Lunar New Year bus. It was operating school route 83. Pictures taken on Willow Rd. and then Santa Cruz Ave. I followed the coach to El Camino Real and University Ave., where it took layover in the usual spot for route ECR buses. In the meantime, I stood at the opposite corner and got shots of Stanford University Marguerite Shuttles, Dumbarton Express, and VTA buses. A walk into the Palo Alto Transit Center yielded New Flyer 8305 in its Monopoly San Jose livery along with the now assigned ECR route Gillig 915.

Drove up the El Camino Real to San Carlos and got some parting shots of the 915. Then I drove south to Oregon Expwy. for another Dumbarton bus. I returned home after this.

In the early afternoon, I drove to Milpitas BART and took a train to Embarcadero Station. The main goal was California cable car 53 now decorated to honor singer Tony Bennett. Got the shots in action to and from the Drumm St. terminal. I also took pictures of Muni New Flyer electric bus 5002 and some of the Market streetcars, including my favorite 1061 (Pacific Electric). It started raining heavily, so I boarded a BART train back to Milpitas.

One more thing: after leaving the Milpitas station, I drove into Fremont to Walnut Avenue. I wanted to get pictures of an MCI CRT LE bus on Transbay route U. Darkness was approaching, but I got some good shots with the 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Nikon D5600 and Samsung Galaxy A54 5G cameras yielded 279 photos.
