VTA New Flyer 8302 was operating on route 22. I covered both sides of the bus in Sunnyvale and Palo Alto.
Then I drove to Millbrae BART for a trip into San Francisco. The goal was pictures of
"As Sounds Turn To Noise" by Thomas J. Price, which statue on loan to SF
(link) was standing between the Ferry
Building and Pier 1. Got them, then ate an oyster poboy (their name for the sandwich) at
Hog Island Oyster Co. in the Ferry Building.
I happened to look on the Market Street Railway streetcar tracker and saw that Holman car 1 was
heading for Market Street. Something called Unstaged has been hosting first Thursday of each month
activities from 4 pm to 7 pm between 5th and 6th Sts., and hand lettered signs were in car 1's windows.
Musicians were on board, and they were
playing for riders as the car left the 11th Street wye for Embarcadero. It made two round trips, the
second trip becoming a Beach Yard pull-in. I got daytime shots on 11th, and after dark ones on
Market and Hyde, 11th, Market and Spear, and Embarcadero and Don Chee Way. Also met the car at
San Jose and Geneva Aves. on its arrival and entry to Cameron Beach Yard.
