The annual Municipal Railway Heritage Weekend's first day.

I rode Dinky 578 from Balboa Park to the San Francisco Railway Museum, where the five vintage cars (including original Muni car 1, Melbourne 496, Blackpool boat car 233, and Milan 1815) staged runs out to Pier 39 and back. On the trolley coach side, Marmon 776 and Flyer 5300 were looping out Columbus Ave. and North Point St. to Van Ness Ave. And there were motor coaches on a loop to Caltrain: White 042, Orion 9010, Neoplan 8250, Mack 2230, and newly restored Twin 0163. The latter was intended to replace Powell cable cars, but it never happened. Motorized cable car 062 was on display, and there were displays and booths. On California Street, Big 19 and newly restored 55 in Muni 1950s livery were in service.

I rode on car 1 to Bay St. and did my usual sunny afternoon shots of the five vintage cars as they returned to the museum. PCCs in regular F line service and tour coaches are also represented. Queen's Louisiana Po-Boys reopened after the pandemic, but I only noticed it today. They make a great oyster poboy, pictured with the cute cartoon representation of the queen herself. I boarded Milan 1815 back to the museum.

Went out on Marmon 776 and White 042 to do their loops. The last car returning to Beach Yard was 1815, and I got the free ride back to my car parked on Oneida.

Also seen parked on Embarcadero were privately owned Muni 3182, VTA 9911, and the Pacific Bus Museum's preserved Greyhound Scenicruiser 8005.

Nikon D5600 and Samsung Galaxy A16 5G cameras yielded 682 photos.
